AC Filters & Air Quality

On this first edition of “Things You Should Know”, I’d like to discuss air handler filters. 

As I often say to customers ... “You don’t cheap out on toilet paper, so don’t cheap out on air filters either.” 

Always buy the best and highest rated filters available. They are more expensive but well worth the investment. Most higher rated filters last 90 days, keep the air handler clean and therefore make the unit run more efficiently. Best of all ... it prevents air quality issues. 

A few years ago, I had my trusted HVAC contractor build a metal frame and provide the interchangeable pads that I replace every 90 days. I purchase a year supply and set reminders in my phone.
